MB&Sphere was created from a deep passion of empowering women during their pregnancy journey. Inspired by over 25 years of OB nursing experience, Berdette recognized the need for a new model of care that aligns the mind, body, and spirit for an enhanced delivery experience, deeper family connection and mental health support.

Berdette Carrasco, RN & Founder
Berdette Carrasco, RN, has been providing compassionate obstetric care to women for over 27 years. Nursing is not just a profession to her, it's her passion and a defining part of her essence.
Over the past decade, Berdette has noticed a concerning trend in healthcare - a lack of human touch and sensitivity, leading to a disconnect between the mind, body, and spirit. This has had a negative impact on the birthing experience, and Berdette is determined to reverse this trend. Drawing on her extensive nursing background, she has developed MBS TRIAD, a user-friendly care model for pregnant women and those considering pregnancy. This model encompasses the mind, body, and spirit, ensuring comprehensive care that addresses the holistic needs of each individual. The aim is to provide a personalized experience that aligns with their expectations and desires.
Karen Laszlo, MBA Cofounder & Advisor
Karen is a business executive with over 14 years of business experience in the fields of Health and Wellness and over 25 years of experience in financial services, publishing, technology, and consumer products markets and has served roles in founder, strategy, finance, M&A, product development and executive management. With a core focus on family and women's health, Karen has dedicated herself to making a positive impact in these areas.
In 2008, while working as the VP of Corporate Development in a financial services firm, Karen made a significant observation. She recognized that over 50% of bankruptcies were caused by the burden of healthcare costs. This revelation became a pivotal moment for her, motivating her to part from the firm and establish her own startup called ZisBoomBah, a family wellness platform created to address the healthcare challenges faced by families.
Karen's deep passion for family healthcare and her desire to contribute her skills and knowledge to this field were the driving forces behind joining MB&Sphere.
OB Nurse Concierge/Doula
Melissa Horneck, Clinical Director, OB Nurse Concierge, and Arizona-based doula at MB&Sphere, is a holistically certified nurse with over 10 years experience in nursing and 8 plus years specializing in Labor/Delivery and Postpartum. Her soul’s purpose and passion are women's health and holistic health. She is here to support you in any way before, during, and after your birthing experience. Melissa is passionate about educating all people on the benefits of alternative and holistic health practices during pregnancy and childbirth. She believes every birth experience is unique and should be tailored to each mother/person/family and baby.
Melissa Horneck, BSN, RNC (She/Her/Hers)
Kendra Wyckoff, RNC
Kendra Wyckoff is a passionate and dedicated Registered Nurse, OB Nurse concierge, and Arizona-based doula for MB&Sphere, specializing in high-risk pregnancy and focused cesarean recovery. Kendra is the Director of the Doula training program and doula services. With a holistic approach encompassing the mind, body, and spirit, Kendra empowers individuals throughout their transformative journey to wellness.
With extensive experience and expertise, Kendra is committed to providing exceptional care and support to pregnant women. She understands the challenges many face and strives to create an environment where they feel heard, valued, and empowered to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.
ReKeysha Belcher, BSN, RNC
ReKeysha Belcher BSN, RN, MB&Sphere OB Nurse Concierge, and Kansas, Illinois-based Doula. She is a dedicated healthcare professional with over 20 years of experience in healthcare. Rekeysha is the DEI program manager for MB&SPhere.
As a wife, mother of six, grandmother of four, and of African American and Native American descent, ReKeysha is passionate about promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion within the healthcare community.
ReKeysha began working as a medical assistant in Internal Medicine before going back to school and obtaining her LPN in 2014. She has worked in Long-Term Care, Hospice, Home Health, and the Emergency Department. She earned an Associate of Science in Nursing in 2019, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2021. ReKeysha is currently attending Frontier Nursing University, fulfilling her childhood dream of becoming a Certified Midwife.
